I am passionate about helping my students not only perform well in school, but exceed their career goals as well! I want my students to be able to develop an understanding and appreciation for literature, and to be strong writers. I firmly believe that reading and writing are two subjects that set the foundation for everything else that follows. I especially enjoy helping my students with writing, and I find it enjoyable to work from beginning to end of a writing project.I am currently a high school English teacher. I teach students Literature (both American and British) and Public Speaking.I am able to tutor students in many subjects, including Reading, Writing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Essay Editing and College Essays, Public Speaking, English, and ESL/ELL. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University, where I earned a degree in Secondary Education. I focused on English and Communications. Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, where I am earning my master's in Education and working to get a certification to teach those who are blind. When I'm not working, I love to be outside, cook, rollerblade, and spend time with my family (we're a big group!). I also enjoy attending music concerts and reading whenever I can find the time!
